Islay Initiative / IJCVS
As we are all probably aware the economic climate has changed considerably over the last year and is likely to continue. The traditional role of the Islay and Jura CVS, like many organisations, is considering diversifying to respond to the new challenges and opportunities ahead.
Our first action is a proposed change from being a CVS to a community owned organisation called 'ISLAY INITIATIVE'.
We provide a range of support and advice services including:
Help with identifying funding sources, Information regarding child protection procedures and policies.
Provide assistance to organisations in developing their constitution.
Provide practical training courses such as first aid and health and safety.
Help new organisations apply to OSCR and Access to specialist training for board and volunteers including:
Good Governance, Charity law, Third Sector Partnership and Managing meetings effectively.
